See screenshot http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/7669/removemessengeraccount8fs.jpg

Press the Administrator icon there and then you will see a menu similar to the one in the screenshot
press the option I have encircled with the RED box, and then you will see the small window underneath pop up

select the accounts and press remove.

Tell me if this works for you

This PC is not on a regular network, rather on a home network,
and there is no one except the Administrator is the user, i.e., no
one needs to logon to this PC, it is open to all.
As you said, I opened the Control Panel, then went to
User Accounts. On the User Accounts page all I see is
Pick a Task..., and under that, 'Change an account',
'Create a new account' & 'Change my picture'.
Next is 'or Pick a Control Panel icon', and on that I have
'Mail' & 'User Accounts'.
As I click on 'User Accounts', it shows the 'Administrator'
and the 'Guest' accounts.
I don't see anywhere any entry for the Windows Messenger.

Go to control panel > user accounts
and select your user, then on the left page press "manage my network passwords"
and in the window that will appear, remove the accounts

Tell me if this helps

I have removed Windows Messenger 4.7 from XP by
using the control panel & windows component removal.
But as soon as I reloaded it again, all the old e-mail
addresses came back ! How can I cleanup the entry
addresses?
