Re: Delete

Hi Jonathan,

I know to one friend whoe stopped using his hotmail account 3 years ago
because he was getting too much spam. His contact details on still on the
hotmail server and he still appears in my contact list. So even though his
account has been inactive for 3 years Microsoft have not removed his contact
details from the contact/privacy list.

Hi John,

They must be using their Passports in some way, as in the last year
Microsoft has started deleting inactive accounts which than disappear from
your contact/privacy lists.

Joel there is no help on this one. Deleting contacts has to be mutually
agreed because the contact details are stored on Microsoft servers. To be
honest i have the same problem i have five or six contacts i haven't
heard from for years, but they are still on my messenger contact list.
The annoying part about it, in my case, is that the people i want to
delete have changed email addresses so i can't contact them.

The only option you have, really, is to contact them and politely ask
them to delete you from their contact list. If you don't want to do that
you will simply have to resort to blocking them.
