MSN Messenger TX video stops?

Hi,
My neighbour has XP Home, Logitech quickcam 4000, MSN messenger 7.5.0324 and
all latest updates and drivers.for both XP and the webcam.
The problem is this.....
If they initiate a voice/video conversation with someone by clicking the
Video icon all if fine for 1 or 2 minutes at which point their transmitted
video and audio will freeze, this freeze can be seen their end (the
originating end) as well as the receiving end. At this point they can still
see the other parties video and hear the other parties audio. At some later
point the other parties audio will stop and then also the video (I think).
With the same setup if you just setup a video call by selecting start my
webcam and see other persons webcam then the video will work fine in both
directions as long as you wish.
So it looks like the addition of audio cause the video to die after a period
of time (2 to 5 minutes typically) I also believe they tried a audio
conversation on its own without video and this also stopped after a period
of time.
Any ideas what to look at, this is a real pain and I am running out of ideas
other then a clean install of XP!
I have taken MSN off, clean the registry and re-installed without any
change.
My neighbours are using a Plantronic USB headset which does not have any
additional drivers for TX and RX audio, they are going to try and use the
Logitech quickcam mic and the pc speakers today to see if that makes any
difference.
