multi desktop

hi - I posted a problem with a pc with several desktops - an install of
messenger8b will only allow communication by those signed up for the beta!
Having recieved invites to join the scheme they are now asked to download the
software again!?! I am not going to instal the software again surely just to
add thier accounts?
