Hello Messenger gurus,
I would like to communicate with my business associate via instant messenging. However, he has AOL and I hate AOL. Is there compatibility with Windos XP Windows Messenging. So that I can IM with him?
Thanks for your help and advice.

Don't like the AIM client or don't want to subscribe to AOL Internet Service? AOL is quite accomidateing in allowing persons use their instant messengering service without requiring an AOL account.
I've heard of third party IM clients that simultaneously work with both IM servers. I'm not sure if using them would comply with the AOL (or MSN) IM terms of service. I don't have links.
There's also a web client version of MSN messenger. I think it requires ActiveX support which might work with the AOL browser, since the last version I saw was actually a wrapper around the Internet Explorer core. Your associate may be able to use Internet Explorer with his AOL account if the AOL browser doesn't work with the web version of MSN messenger.
