Audio button gets greyed out in video conversation

Hi,
I am using MSN Messenger 7.5 and I have a problem related to audio
during video conversations. The "Mute my speakers" button, next to
the video of my conversation partner, is greyed out, so I cannot
deactivate that option. The result is that I don't hear anything that
the other is saying. He can however hear me perfectly good.
I use a cable connection, and I have tried this with different
persons, both on cable or ADSL, and the problem seems to be on my end.
I have this problem since I re-installed my drivers for audio, due to
scratchy noise. QoS is disabled. Since then, I have tried to
re-install the QuickCam drivers, and MSN Messenger, but with no
success.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Francois
