Yes, this is not a bug. It is a new undocumented feature/enhancement and is
just one of the many free new undocumented features/enhancements included in
every new release of the software. Remember that these undocumented features
are provided "as-is", so no support is provided for them by the company, so
use them at your own risk.
With that said, it doesn't sound like there is a problem with the software.
It is working exactly as the manufacturer determined you should want it to,
so the problem is in the expectations section of the user, which tends to
become bloated. Try reading the manual first and see if that reduces the
number of expectations to a manageable number. Be sure to monitor the
frustration level while you are doing this, as it tends to increase
dramatically during this process and, if left unchecked, can cause unexpected
and sometimes serious problems.
If expectations are still high after reading the manual, you will need to
use the software for a few minutes. This almost always reduces the
expectations to a very low level. Once expectations are low enough, the
software will begin to work as intended, far exceeding user expectations.
