Simply click Start, then Run, type "MMSYS.CPL" and click OK. Then click the Sounds tab, and
find the "New Message" under Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger (depending on which
application you're referring to) under Program events. Simply choose the option and then
choose (None) for the sound.
