Re: MSN Messenger in one PC and WIndows Messenger in another

Update:

Good news, with the latest build of Windows Messenger (5.1.0701), it works.

Hi,

You'll see this because MSN Messenger has far better support for
non-UPnP routers and it's still using a protocol which is compatible
with Windows Messenger so it works.
If you send out an invitation with Windows Messenger and don't have a
UPnP router, it simply will not work period.

I have a network with a NAT router. Using a voice call between MSN
Messenger in one PC and WIndows Messenger in another causes the
voice call to end immediatly after starting. Using in both PC's
similar messenger works fine. Can someone advise please?

I have a network with a NAT router, too. The router is not UPnP.
In my case, if MSN Messenger on one PC initiates the call (and
Windows Messenger accepts it on another), the voice communication
works fine. If Windows Messenger initiates the call (and MSN Messenger accepts
it), the connection fails.

Using in both PC's similar messenger works fine

Same here.
