what i'm listening to......or not as the case may be

Hi i've got yet another problem with the "what i'm listening to" feature. As
someone kindly suggested, i checked the box for "open main messenger
window....." and this worked, but the problem came back again when i logged
on to my pc the next day. I looked at the options menu and yes the box was
was still checked so i don't know why it won't work. Any other suggestions
please?
