I also have this probelm. Windows messenger does not show up in the taskbar,
even when going to propties of the startbar and clicking always show next to
windows messenger. This creates a annoying problems of not knowing when I
sign on. It also creates a security risk. I am running a dell inspiron 9200
with windowsxp home with SP2 pre-installed, and msn messenger 7 ( I had 7beta
installed earlier and did not have this problem. Any more questions please
