How do I change MSN Messenger so I can send exe files etc?

I know this has been answered a million times, but I am
having problems finding the answer! I have run the reg
file, I managed to find that response, but that didnt
work for me or my friend. :(

Why wouldnt Microsoft just allow us to manage that type
of thing. Some of us experienced users know what to
accept and not accept.

How can I change/fix this?

There are files out there that are freeware and it gets
blocked by hotmail. GRRR.
