Cannot delete a contact!!!

Hi.. I'm trying to delete a contact and when I do, it
says "are you sure you wish to delete this contact?" and
when you click yes, it then says that it is unable to
delete the contact... please try again later. When I
then click "OK", it disconnects me from my messanger
service. Is there any other way to delete this contact
from my list? I've been trying for a couple days now
with the same results.
