Greetings Stormie,

As Dave already indicated, there are two different Messenger clients. To get MSN Messenger
6.2 to come up, simply open up Windows Messenger 5.1 (click Start, then Run, type "msmsgs"
and click OK), click the Tools menu, then Options, then Preferences tab, uncheck "Run Windows
Messenger when Windows starts" and click OK. Then start MSN Messenger 6.2 (click Start, then
Run, type "msnmsgr" and click OK), click the General tab, uncheck "Automatically run
Messenger when I log on to Windows" and click OK.
