Hi k,

If you can log into the "old one" without problems (which I assume you mean Windows Messenger
4.x), then more than likely you might have a third-party firewall which is blocking MSN
Messenger but not blocking Windows Messenger. You might need to go into whatever firewall
software you have installed's configuration and setup MSN Messenger to have full access so
the Internet connection.
