Messenger 6.2 Problem - can't detect Internet

Hi all.
I have a Windows XP Professional computer.
At home, I have this computer and also a Server ( with Windows XP Pro ) to
serve Internet and File Sharing.
At home, everything works fine.
On my work, I have a Server with Small Business Server.
I change my Proxy Settings on Internet Explorer, but Messenger can't
connect. The error message says that I must verify that I'm connected to the
Internet. The error code is: 0x81000301.
I've changed the Connection on Messenger to use a Proxy Server, but it does
not work either.
Any help is very appreciated.
