Windows Messenger fails to login to Exchange 2K sometimes

Hello,

every now and then, windows messenger configured for exchange 2k account,
fails to log in. It says: "email address does not match the user name and
password of the person logged in to this computer"; then it shows a dialog
to specify email address, userid, password, and domain; but it never works.
Disabling/reenabling instant messaging for the account does not help. Only
exchange restart fixes it.

Did anyone see this problem? is there any way to avoid it, or fix without
restarting Exchange?
