Hi Linda,

I think what you mean is How do i get rid of the installed
Windows Messenger (which is 4.7) and keep the MSN
Messenger (which is 6.2).

I do it this way, if someone else has a different method
please feel free....

1. Log in to Windows Messenger set the (Tools->)Options to
NOT startup automatically.
2. Log in to MSN Messenger (the new one) and set the
(Tools->) Options to start automatically.
3. Go to Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs->Windows
Components and uncheck MSN Explorer and Windows Messenger.
Click ok etc.

restart system and that should be it -> your system should
only have the New version available to you.

regards
Sean
