file transfers

Messenger blocks ALL mp3s that my friend triesd to send
me. I get an error about it being an unsafe file type but
all tof the help docs online say it shouldnt be and none
of the fixed have worked. I've tried disabling all of my
firewall and security settings but still nadda.. .wtf?
