I've got exactly the same problem with Outlook. I want the real time alert
on emails to my hotmail account in IE and still use my outlook as the default
browser. Doesnt seem you can have the two together. If you go into
IE/tools/internet options/programs you can put hotmail as the default so it
works as before. But then your email client isn't the default anymore. I
spent 45 mins being pushed about from place to place with support. I've
downloaded Messenger 5 to see if that makes a difference. NO!!!! It's
annoying. I've also left various posts on different forums with no reply and
this is this first one i've come across. If anyone can shed light on this
please do, or its back to the phone waiting in queues all day. Thanks.
