Greetings Kaki,

In Windows Messenger, there is no built-in file that logs your conversations. With the
exception being if you have a third-party Messenger tool installed (like Messenger Plus),
which would put them in \My Documents\My Chat Logs (by default).

MSN Messenger 6.x has a log feature, which is controlled by the Tools menu, Options, Messages
tab (under "Message History").
