Try add/remove programs,windows components,uncheck messenger,
close out restart computer.Then back on desktop,enable messenger,
go to microsoft,search,type:Windows Messenger Home Page,go to the
site,then let it install in the "open" installation (no download).You might
then return to search,type:Windows Messenger Add In It gives messenger
more control with this download in xp.
