i bought a new ibm last week, did the windows messenger
upgrade and my contacts do not appear correctly...deleted
contacts have returned to my list with the properties of
current contacts and not all of my contacts are displayed
although when they log in they can im me...

i also upgraded my desktop dell to win messenger 4.7 and
the contacts are managed correctly...all of the right
ones appear and there are no 'ghost contacts'...

i tried reinstalling the upgrade and rebuilding the
machine and although the contacts appear fine after the
initial upgrade, upon restarting they revert to the
messed up list...

i called ibm and they won't touch it...
