Windows Messenger Linked to Other Programs

Hello,

I have recently installed XP onto a friends computer and now Messenger keeps opening as it is linked to other programs. I knew about the link with Outlook Express and applied the regfix that Mr Jonathon Kay ("Thanks Mr Kay") provides as I have done so previously on my own computer, but I have never seen the other problem with Messenger being used by other applications before.
