RE: MSN Messenger 6.1 and windows messenger 4.7

Hi Peter!!!!!

I just logged onto this help site and couldn't help but see your question of help!!!!

What you need to do is go into MSN 4.7 and in the Tools/Options/Connection Tab checkmark the "I use a Proxy Server" box and then click OK to exit. That will make the 4.7 look for a Proxy Connection that is not there and it will never connect!!!!

Then open 6.1 and go into the same Connections Tab and that box will be checked. Uncheck it and click OK. Not to worry as 4.7 remains checked and will never open up!!!!!!

Everything should be fine after that!!!!!

It threw me for a loop too in the beginning and I just experimented til I discovered this on my own!!!!!!
