Error - 0x80004005 - Direct Play Voice

I purchased a Dell computer in October and have been
unable to get a microphone to work with the MSN
Messenger. The mic I am using is the same as the one I
had beofe on another computer (worked fine). I have run
the tests where you talk and it plays back - all fine. I
also purchased a Logitech webcam with builitin mic to see
if that worked - still no go. I receive the following
message: Error occured during DirectPlay Voice set up -
error code: 0x80004005 - then I click on the only option -
ok- then I receive - cannnot execute DpvSetup.exe - use
add/remove to install. The mic currently works on my
laptop, so I know it is fine. The webcam picture comes
through fine - so its' not that -- When attempting to
connect the other computer recieved msg - computer trying
to reach is experiencing a problem. (running on home XP).
Any help would be SO MUCH appreciated :)
