Hi there,

this is soooo infuriating - hopefully someone can help.

Win XP Pro SP1 + all fixes
Windows Messenger 4.whatever the latest version is
MSN Messenger 6.1

ok;

when i start my system Windows Messenger starts
automatically even though I have set all options to NOT
start with windows.

However MSN Messenger does NOT start even though all
options are set to start automatically.

I removed my .NET passport from my Windows Sign in and
magically Windows Msngr did not start and MSN Messenger
did, however it seems to automatically put back the .NET
registration and next time you start it is the wrong way
around again.

Is there any way of telling Windows Msngr that it has
been superceded by MSN Msngr and for windows to use the
latter rather than the former.

Many thanks in advance
regards
Sean
