Thank you carlh for asking this question. I was having the same issue, and
everything was saying it was connected to Windows 2000. To bad I don't have
that. XP is a bit different.
And thank you to everyone else for the answers. I hadn't installed the
wildtangent games for a few years, this time I did. BIG mistake. Now I know.
Thanks to all for the help.

immediately after logging in:
box 1: from “Assert”
ASSERT FAILED\Projects\wtKernel\src\Win32\cm\Core\cmCodeModule.cpp:90
m_CodeHandle !=NULL
“OK”
box 3: from ddcmigrate.exe – Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0x80000003). Click on OK

“OK”
Would someone please help me resolve this problem?

A little (very little) Googling implicates Wild Tangent.
Here is some advice that may help you:
Wild Tangent makes a lot of little games that probably came
preinstalled on your computer. It usually has an updater (good to
disable that). Use the System Configuration Utility to see what is
starting with Windows and disable it - look for anything connected
with Wild Tangent.
Start>Run>msconfig [enter]
This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup
tab and find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name,
Apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next
time you do you'll get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just
tick the box that says in effect, "don't bother me about this again".
I would reboot after making the MSCONFIG changes and tell the message
to go away.
Please let us know if this does the trick.
