Ok, i was going from Vista to XP, started loading the xp disk, it randomly
shut down during installation, now when it opens xp (vista is no longer)
it
loads a blue screen with the mouse, flashes an error, and shuts down. Ive
tried repairing the installation but it asks me for an administrator
password, and since i didnt have one on vista, and havent been on xp yet,
it
wont work. (leaving it blank doesnt work either)
Ive been trying to fix it for hours, trying to guess the password,
EVERYTHING, i know this is in the wrong place, but i need some help.
and ignore my fail run-on sentences.
EDIT: i have an hp compaq presario f700 (the laptop) and it didnt come
with
a recovery disk, nor do i have one. ( it has that lame "recover without
disks!" thingy that doesnt work now)
See Singapore's message about using F8 key during startup.
During startup, you can press your PAUSE/BREAK key to pause the display of
any message. If you pause before Windows has started loading, press
CTRL-PAUSE to resume. If you pause after Windows has started loading, press
ENTER to resume. Be sure to write down complete ERROR messages, including
error codes.
