Re: timing downloads late at night

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Since the OP is getting SCREWED on bandwidth and pricing, I did a little googling for him. He might want to look into this. http://getright.com/

If the program does what it says it does, it should be just what the OP needs.

Don't download stuff at other times.

I didn't know that 900 kps service was still available, since that was
the typical speed in the early 1970's. Are you still using an acoustic
coupler?

Satellite service isn't great for bandwidth. See their plans at:

The OP is probably on the "Home" plan. Just look at their super-high
prices for what low bandwidth they give you. Their highest speed plan
is a third the speed of my cable broadband and at 5 times the cost.
Could be satellite is the only option out on the farm (i.e., no cable,
too far for DSL). Being that far out means we don't hear them screaming
when the vise is closed on their genitals.

The OP should start Googling for a download manager (with scheduling
features).
