Re: Download problems

Which specific files have you tried downloading? Perhaps you can
post a link.

What are your ActiveX settings?

Have you tried running IE in No Add-ons mode? Or perhaps running
Windows XP in Safe Mode with Networking?

Toko_11 answered:

was downloaded successfully but when i clicked it error popped up
that said something was wrong with Spools.exe i have no idea what
that is

and later added:

and yes i tried it with IE I had activeX enabled but still the same

The *very* last thing you want to do now is to install IE8!

Are you currently running IE6 or IE7?

You never did answer these questions (so here they are again):

Have you tried running IE in No Add-ons mode? Or perhaps running
Windows XP in Safe Mode with Networking?

In your answer to Shenan, you indicated you are not running *any*
antimalware programs. That tells me that you have a good chance being
infected with some form of malware (virus, trojan, worm, spyware, etc.).
I advise you to follow his advice and directions. :-)

For what it's worth, when I try to download these files (I have IE7), I
get a window that looks like this one:

http://www.smeter.net/antennas/images/file-download-security-warning.jpg

Do you get that box?

How long have you had this problem? If it is recent, do you recall which
program or update may have been installed at around that time?

And I can't stress this enough: You need to protect yourself from
malware! Shenan will no doubt give you excellent guidance.
