Re: XP Setting

Position your mouse over a blank area of your desktop. Right click and select "Properties".

Click on the Screen Saver tab. Then, un-check the box marked "On resume, display Welcome screen".

Click on "Apply", followed by "OK".

You might also want to change one of the settings in TweakUI. Expand the Logon category in TweakUI, click on Screen Saver and adjust the Grace Period according to your personal preferences.

When the monitor on my computer goes to standby after 20 minutes
(according to my Power Options settings) and I then reactivate it, my
desktop comes back immediately, as expected.

On two other XP computers I configured recently, a clickable login
screen comes up instead, offering a choice of users (administrator and the currently logged in user).

Auto login is set (via TweakUI) on all three computers but, despite this, on two of them the undesirable user selection screen appears when the monitor is reactivated.

Is there a setting to tell the computer to show the active desktop
rather than the login screen when the monitor is reactivated?

Thank you.
