"I contacted the store in this regard, who assured me that this
"software was genuine.
YES. But they would say that, wouldn't they! Please answer the following questions:
1. Was it a retail purchase (boxed CDs bearing the Microsoft
hologram)
If the software came on CDs without the Microsoft hologram (on the box or on the CD), then it was almost certainly a pirated copy.
2. If you downloaded the software from the Internet, what was
the URL of the website?
Without clear answers to these specific questions, it is impossible to advise further.

Yes. But where did you purchase the software?
Was it a retail purchase (boxed CDs bearing the Microsoft
hologram) - or was it a download from a (non-Microsoft)
website?.
If it was a download, what website?

:I am truly surprised that the validation for Microsoft
Office 2007 was
: considered as genuine software although it is easy
download to the WinXP
: with the authentication product key for proper
installation. I am keeping
: getting warning that this product will be considered as
non genuine. I
just
: don't get it. Why it is permitted to be download and
installed then it
will
: be considered as non-genuine?? Should the customer who
purchase the
software
: in good faith is responsisble also for such complicated
issues such as
: single or multiple product?? Hope someone can help with
stopping this
: annoying pop-ups. I tryed to uninstall the software and
redownloaded
without
: getting better result.
: Thanks!
