SP3

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I am not an IT person.
I have a Dell Insiron 530 with Win XP Pro. The machine is a toy I use
for helping me with Ham Radio and the net ect. I have the SP3 CD.
Is there anything I should check for or delete before I shove it in
the cup holder :') and fire it up. I don't want to mess the machine
up.
