Problem interfacing with printer

I have a Dell 8100 Pentium 4, running Windows XP – Sp3. I had need of a real
workhorse printer using black ink only. From the group that is in the same
business as I am, most recommended that I find a HP 4200 printer. I found
one on e-bay from a reputable company. When it arrived, I hooked it up and
when I would click on “print” the printer screen would read “processing job”
then it would not print, but go back to the “ready” mode. I changed drivers
several times with no success. Then I called an HP service man who spent an
hour here and couldn’t resolve the problem, and he called a computer “expert”
who came and decided that the board in the printer that interfaces with the
computer was bad. I contacted the company I purchased it from and after
discussing several possile solutions, they sent me a new interface board.
Still, the problem existed. So, they sent me another printer which I have
just installed and much to my dismay, the same problem!!

Do any of you have any ideas of what the problem is and how to correct it?

Thank you in advance!
Karen
