Download the above Knoppix Live CD ISO file.
http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Download the XP Burning software from the above link.
After installing above ISO burning software, right-click on Knoppix ISO
file, make an Image disk.
Knoppix does not install on your PC; just uses your PC's resources, RAM,
Graphics, etc.
Plug in a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, boot with the Live CD, and you should be
able to read your Hard Drive.
Change the Flash Drive Properties from read only.
Copy your Data over to FD

Hi,
Thanks for reading this.
I'm running XP and downloaded something nasty from a gaming site. XP
was booting to the desktop background with no icons or taskbar. Now it
doesn't even get that far before rebooting. I can get to the safe
mode-last known config screen. But when I choose any of the options,
including safe mode, the boot cycle goes into repeat again and I get
nowhere.
I'm at the point where I'm ready to use the recovery disk that came
with the PC (an IBM Thinkcentre -- didn't come with an XP disc), but I
would like to save some data (photos, documents) first. Not sure if this
is possible. Anyone know how I can get to DOS or anything else?
Thanks again.
