Acces denied synchronizing offline folders

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I?ve got a Dell Laptop with Windows XP SP3 and I?m trying to synchronize
a folder from a share folder on a WIN2K3 server using offline folder. (I
do it with many other machines without problem)

When I shut down the machine or when I disconnect the user, ALL is
fine, synchro goes ok and when I switch the laptop out of the network, I
can nrmally update offline files.

When I switch on the laptop on the network, synchronization start
normally, but I got a acces denied error:

Offline file (\\servername\folder_name ) access to ?file name? denied
on \\servername\?complete path and file name?

If I disconnect the user or switch off the computer offline
modification done are normally synchronized.

I?ve tried to simulate this also by disconnecting and reconnecting the
network cable and tired the following:

Whit a ?virgin? directory on the server called Finance:

1 Point to folder "Finance" on the server while connected to the
network
2. Right click on it
3. Selected "available when offline"
4. Synchro has started and finished regurarly
5. Created one new subfolder in finance named "Test"
6. Created a new txt file on this subfolder
7. Disconnected network cable
8. Opened the finance directory offline
9. Browsed to the "test" subfolder created at point 5
10. modified previous txt file
11. created a new txt file
12. Re-connected network cable
13. After a little while I'm asked if I want to synchro
14. replied yes
15. Synchro started
16. synchro has attempted to copy back the two modified files, but
giving the "acces denied" error
17 Browsed the folder from the network and file modified offline are
deleted
18 Disconnected user
19 Synchro has started
20 Synchro has finished normally
21 Log in again
22 Files are perfectly available

Anyone has an idea?

Thanks

Andrea
