I am attempting to update my video drivers, which I have done many,
many times over the years with no problems. Now, however, when I
try to run the executable file from nVidia I get the following
message:
"The nVidia setup program has detected that one or more Microsoft
hardware installation wizards are active. Click click Yes to
minimize Setup until you complete or cancel the othe installation
wizard(s). Click No to exit Setup."
As far as I can tell and as far as I know there is no installation
wizard running, so I can't cancel or shut it down. (If I knew what
it was called in "Task Manager" maybe I could locate it and shut it
down, but I don't now what it is called).
Also, when I open up Task Manager it constantly "refreshes" or
flashes from blank a blank area to filled. I don't know what is
causing this.
Can anyone help me?
Reboot?
(You did not say you had tried this - don't want to assume anything.)
