Hi all,
thank you for your advice.
Problem resolvedin the next way:
1. Right click My Computer select properties
2. Select the Hardware tab and click device manager
3. Expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers group
4. Double click Primary IDE Channel
5. Select the Advanced Settings tab
6. What is the current Transfer mode for Device 0?
If the mode is set to PIO Only select the driver tab and click Uninstall
This will uninstall the driver and reboot the system. Upon reboot the driver
will be replaced and you should be using the correct setting.
I hope it will be helpful for the persons who had similar problems.
Thank you very much for your interest in helping me with my problem.

Hi my Acer laptop is stuttering during the start up tune and whenever I try.
to play music and films. Someone suggested disinstalling and reinstalling
windows. I have windows XP home edition sp3.
However, my computer came with windows already installed so I have the
product key underneath the computer (product key is genuine, 25 digits), but
not the disc.
Does anyone know if it is possible to reinstall windows by downloading it
and using the key I have on my computer? or if not does anyone have any
other suggestions to stop my computer from stuttering?
Thanks in advance for any advice :)
