This type of program is usually a third party software that allows you to
hide tray icons. Check your add-remove screen in the control panel and see
if there is an entry similar to tray icon manager.

Hi All,
I would like to know what the tray icon manager is? For some reason when
I start skype from my system tray and after I close it the tray icon
manager shows up and I can't get rid of it. I tried using the task
manager but, no luck. I am using windows xp home sr3. Any help would be
most appreciated. Thanks,
