You know when I saw this it made a lot of sense. So I fired
up Acronis and mounted my backup image and compared the fonts
in my font folder to the backup. Found that there were about 20 some odd fonts that were no longer in the folder as
compared to the backup. So I reinstalled them and all is fine
now...

The curious one that I am, I looked in my windows/fonts folder
and there are 500+ files. I don't have anything fancy
installed.

I wonder why so many of us have fonts installed that they may never use? Disc space, especially for laptops could be saved by un-installing most of them. I know, I shouldn't talk since I've got over 120 on my standard computer :-)
