Re: HTTP 404 Error Message

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Thank you for your interest
the URL used in both Internet Explorer and
Firefox is the same namely
http://advancedcareproducts.co.uk/shop/index.html
when clicking on the shop in IE I get the error
message
'Done but with errors on page'

OK: Here, using both FireFox and Internet
Explorer, that page loads fine and only indicates
"done". I'm not getting the error message you
mention. But ... it's of little consequence
unless it is causing problems for you, you can
ignore it.

then when clicking on the error
massage I get Line:7
Char:2
Err:Object doesn't support this property or
method
Code:0
URL:http://advancedcareproducts.co.uk/shop/index.html
Any further help would be appreciated.

The "error" you are looking at is occurring at the
server and is NOT anything you have any control
over. Whoever authored that page has an error on
it that some browsers, depending on setup, will
report. There is nothing wrong with your computer
or operating system w/r to this error message.
If it's causing problems of some sort, your
only recourse would be to notify the author of
that page or the web site management and tell them
what is happening.
It may or may not be on interest to them. And,
it might be fixed unless there is enough of a
difference in our browser settings that I'm not
seeing it. I have javascript enabled right now;
if you don't, then perhaps that will be the
cause - just a wild guess there.

So, the problem is with the web site. Unless it's
causing you any problems, you can safely ignore
it. It's not unusual to get such messages now and
then.

For several years I have been able to asccess
the online shop at
Advanced Care Products Ltd (via IE7) but
suddenly I find that some
8-9 months ago when trying to gain access to
order items I received
the error message HTTP 404. I have contactd
ACP
and they advise that
there is nothing wrong with their website as
they receive many orders
daily.
I have spoken to other knowleable sources and
they state that it it
the fault of ACP.
I have checked my settings as far as I know
how
and they appear to be
OK .
I do not have any problem with other web
sites.
Though I cannot gain access to the shop via
Internet Explorer I can
gain access via Firefox and you will apprciate
that as I need to
order from this site I have to resort to
Firefox
which I would so
love to uninstall.
I would like to hear from anyone who can help

What is the exact URL you are using for this
access? It is probably misspelled somewhere in
it.
