Re: Has anyone had issues with VBscripts since installing Service Pack

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Script output is not displayed as expected when you run VBScript or
JScript scripts in Windows Vista Service Pack 1, in Windows Server 2008,
or in Windows XP Service Pack 3

Have a look in the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for
Errors and Warnings and post copies here. Don't post any more than 48
hours ago.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

I am having issues now where the script will not let me access other
programs when I popup a msgbox.

This has only started since installing service pack 3(sp3).

if you have had any issues where existing working vbscripts are no
longer working since installing sp3, please post your experiences.

Note: This is not the "Date" issue as stated in SP3 release notes.
This is specific to vbscript msgbox and inputbox not allowing me to
interact with other open applications while wscript or cscript is
running. Then, the application that the script did interact with is
no longer "clickable" once the script terminates.
