Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Start the computer in Safe Mode.

Go to: Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery...Settings button > remove the checkmark from System Failure...Automatically restart > click on OK.

Restart your computer normally. Startup will halt at a blue screen.

Toward the bottom of the screen copy this information: 1) the hexadecimal number after the word STOP, which begins with 0x000...and 2) the name of the error which looks LIKE_THIS.

Post again and include:

What version of Windows you are using (including the service pack).
The STOP number and error name, from above.
Any clues you might have as to the cause of the problem (e.g., recent changes to hardware or software, what you were doing before the problem first appeared.)
