Re: Download problem: second download always results in IE error c

Thank you,
I tried system restore several time to solve this problem, it may not be a
registry problem. Then, I ran "/scannow" in command prompt, but it did not
detect anything.
To be sure, I did a system restore far back to the several month ago, but
the problem persists.

Regards,

If it were a corrupt system file, opening a command prompt for 'sfc
/scannow' will repair those. A registry problem might be fixed by using an
older restore point in System restore.

Thanks for suggestion.
I have tried disk cleanup. Furthermore, I deleted all the temporary
internet
files, cookeys and history. Nothing helped.
This issue happens not only with IE7 but with FireFox. Therefore I suspect
the issue is related to WindowsXP, corrupted system files or registry
problem. Where shall I look into, then?

Try running Disk Cleanup (cleanmgr.exe) to clear out your %TEMP% folder.

Somebody help me.
When I download another file after downloading one, the application
suddenly
closes and prompts for error report. This problem started recently and
no
problem before.
The application includes Internet Explorer 7.0, Firefox 3.03 and
Outlook
Express 6. Files can be any type and any size: PDF, Money data file or
whatever. The application is not limited to IE, and I suspect Window XP
Home
edition's problem. SP3 is already applied.
