Re: Help install MS applications on 2nd computer

Did I forget to mention that it is a legitmately purchased and licensed
software? And, that the Microsoft XP Pro is legitmately activated and
registered on both computers? My bad. Sorry.

My main computer is a Sony Vaio with a Pentium 4 processor and 512

installed. I, also, installed MS XP Pro, version 2002 but it is not
showing in the system properties window. There is also MS Word,
Excel, Access, and Powerpoint that came with the Pro version (the
Home Edition came with Corel products). I recently acquired a Dell
computer with the Intell Pentium III processor, and 512 MB of ram.
I install MS XP Pro, version 2002, with service pack 3, from the
same disks that I installed on my other computer. And here is the
problem. I can not install the Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and
Powerpoint onto the newly acquired, though about 1 year older, Dell
computer. I put the disk in the CD drive and it asks for the
product key, but it does not accept the key. I tried the same key 3
or 4 times, verifying it is correct each time, just in case. Four
other disk came as a set, so I tried those keys as well, just in
case I mixed up disks and sleeves. Nope! I then took the disk to
the Sony Vaio. The program program came right up with out asking
for the key and asked which applications I wanted to install. Put
the disk back into the Dell, again, requests the product key, and,
again, rejects it. The Dell has been given to my daughter and is to
go into her bedroom to use for homework. She needs the Microsoft
application to take files back and forth to school. Can anybody
help me?

Purchase and install legitmately licensed software and their installation
media.
