Hi Willy,

Administrator is needed for Safe Mode, because in Safe Mode, Bill is
considered to be a User.

You should have another Account, in there for ASPNET. ASPNET is
installed by the Framework Programs. ASPNET is a User Account.

Have you applied all the Windows XP Hotfixes and Optional Software
Programs?

It looks like Bruce thinks your account is named Administrator while I
think it is named Bill. If the account is Bill, disregard that step.
That would leave you with:

- Go to Run on the Start menu and type: control userpasswords2 and
click OK
- Mark the box that requires users to enter a password.
- Click your account name.
- Unmark the box that requires users to enter a password and click OK.
- When prompted for a password, click OK.

In the resulting window, uncheck the box that requires users to log-in
and note the exact spelling of the principle users name. In the next
window, type in that users name in place of "Administrator". If
required, then put in the user's password. Now when you startup, you
will still see the word "Welcome" but the computer will go directly to
your desktop when all startup programs are complete.
