Re: System shutdown due to RPC terminated unexpectedly

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Sorry Leonard, but I have scanned for the Sasser and the Blaster with several
tools. They do not exist in my system. I have also looked for the actual
files that are the telltale signs of the Blaster Worm. I do believe we have
a new creature here. All my virus definitions are up-to-date, but they
detect nothing on the computer.

I have been having the same problem as of yesterday. I have tried running

I have Windows XP Service pack 3 and starting yesterday I started getting
system shut downs about an hour after rebooting. The message is that the
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) terminated unexpectedly and NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
required a system shut down. Any idea what is going on and how to fix it?
