I would take a look at the Event Viewer for the name of the file with a problem. (run eventvwr.msc)

I created a new administrative account on Windows XP (sp3) and attempted to
open Office 2003 applications. Everything worked fine except for Powerpoint.
It opens and then immediately gets an error window with no information other
than it has experienced an error. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling
Office 2003, importing setting from the old Administrator account, importing
office 2003 settings via the Office 2003 Save My Settings Wizard, and doing a
thorough virus scan. So far nothing has prevented the error condition. If I
Restore to a point before the new account was created and open with the old
Administrator account, PowerPoint works. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
