If it works ok with 3rd party extensions off then you need to experiment
with that back on and disabling add-ons one at a time.
I misunderstood originally, I thought the problem cleared when you used IE
without add-ons & didn't realise you still had 3rd party extensions turned
off. Work through them in some logical sequence, one of the settings (could
be either add-ons with or without 3rd party extensions that's causing it)
I'm sure you'll crack it now you have some idea where to look. You could
also try uninstalling the yahoo toolbar if it is in add/remove programs, but
it may have been installed along with some other software.
Let me know.

Hi,
Not finished yet I fear. If all is well running internet explorer
"without
add-ons" then that means there is something loaded , perhaps a toolbar
that
is preventing running internet explorer in full mode. (without add ons
is
like a safemode) You need to look at the add-ons loaded, to do this
with
internet explorer (using normal mode & not without add-ons)open click
on
tools then manage add-ons. Then select "enable or disable Add-ons" and
look
at the list, one of those is causing the problem. You can select one at
a
time, and disable it to see which is causing the error.
See how you go on.

Hi Neil,
Just need to recap;
I.IE 3rd party browser extensions off - works ok
2. IE opened without add ons and 3rd party b.extensions off - works.
3. IE opened without add ons and 3rd party b.extensions on - does Not
work
When I switched off the 3rd party extension at 1. it took of the Yahoo
toolbar and the norton phisher protection. Put windows phisher
protection on and all seemed ok.
Thinking back I think the problem started round about the time I
upgraded to Norton 2008 Security.
I will work through the add ons as you suggest. Can you confirm that
this is with the 3rd party browser extensions switched back on.
